Apologies for not keeping the blog up to date!

There has been plenty going on since our last post....

New season stuff has come into store ready for Spring and Summer....someone just needs to tell the weather! Although as I'm writing this, it looks quite nice out there, especially as the forecast was for drizzle! We are now stocking Ruffwear for the hounds...brilliant stuff, our Robbie and Trish love it!

The Crickhowell Walking Festival has been and gone...again the weather made itself the talk of the week. It was raining for much of the week, but I don't think any of the walks were cancelled, they were modified to some degree depending on the wind and rain. The walkers who came seem to take it all in their stride though (excuse the pun!) and it certainly found out if anyone's kit was up to the job or not! And talking of the walkers, they did themselves proud and they were all ages!

Must also thank Sherpa Adventure Gear for their donation of the knitted hats for the walk leaders and their assistants....super warm and toasty in the dismal weather!

Must also thank Deuter and Scarpa for putting up the prizes and for running workshops for rucksacks and walking boots...any questions you had, they answered...well if it related to the aforementioned of course!! Winning lottery numbers may just be a bit too hard for them!

It will be time to start getting 2018 Walking Festival underway...no rest for the wicked!

In other news....

Off to Bhutan again this year...trekking this time, can't wait More on that closer to the time...

Still going out walking of course....went up the Allt yr Esgair the other week.....it is a beautiful place, exeptionally muddy, but the dogs loved it and the views and the light were amazing....

After the hectic Trade shows...we're getting excited at all the new goodies on offer...just such a shame we have to wait until next Winter! Well this winter..if you get my drift!

We have very nearly completed all the Forward Orders, just the last couple of small ones to finish...then done! Can I book for Winter 2016 please, snow or at the very least, VERY cold weather with crisp, frosty days, full of sunshine and blue sky....perfect..thanking you in anticipation....ok, not going to hold my breathe, but you never know...

The weather today was glorious...cold, but blue sky and sun! Not one to waste this opportunity we set off to recce the walk we are helping out with during the Crickhowell Walking Festival. It is a walk to the 'Lonely Shepherd' with no other than Kenton Cool! The stone is on Mynydd Llangattock, if you are not sure which It is, its on the front of the Landranger map 161! There are various stories about it, if you want to learn more, be sure to book the walk! All the monies raised for this one is going to the Nepal Earthquake Relief fund, so whilst it costs more than the others, its going to a worthy cause, AND you get to spend quality time with a chap who has summited Everest no less than 11 times!

I must admit, Llangattock is one of my most favourite places...it is so surreal, man made but nature is claiming it back and it looks stunning....we had a great day today..the weather was perfect and I feel so much better for getting out and about...who needs gyms to work out when we have all this beauty on our very own doorstep!
